High-density operations were conducted on the R524 road in Thohoyandou last night, aimed at bringing down crime levels and restoring law and order in the Vhembe District. The operation focused on hotspots areas through intensified stop and searches, roadblocks, tracing of wanted suspects as well raiding of liquor outlets and second-hand goods.
The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe interacted with community members and listened to their concerns and challenges. She was accompanied by Deputy Provincial Commissioner responsible for Policing, Major General Jan Scheepers and Deputy Provincial Commissioner responsible for Crime Detection, Major General Samuel Manala during roadblock activities.
