The quick reaction led to an arrest and no loss to our customer in Walmer South.
After receiving an activation from business premises in Villiers Road last night in our recently launched Walmer South DPS area, our control room dispatched our dedicated area officer, who arrived on sight in record time.
Upon arrival, the officer realised the suspect was still on site and called for backup. Within minutes, three backup vehicles arrived, and the officers moved in.
The suspect was arrested on-site, where he forced open a storage area door. The customer and the SAPS were contacted and arrived on the scene. The suspect was handed over, and a case was opened.
