Busted! Our Pretoria team arrested the suspect involved in Telkom tower battery theft this morning.
At 7:30 am, we responded to an activation at the Telkom Tower on Vonkprop Road, Samcor Park, Garsfontein. Upon arrival, our officer found the suspect on the premises and called for backup. The suspect was inside the property in a container, cutting the wires of the batteries, and armed with a knife.
Our team managed to detain the suspect with no injuries caused. It could not be determined how the suspect gained access to the property. SAPS was notified. Well done to our officers for their swift response and vigilance!
