The Bloemfontein K9 Unit members have arrested 41-year-old woman from Meqheleng near Ficksburg after they found illegal guns, bullets and vehicles suspected to have been used in the commission of business burglary crimes.
According to information, on Friday, 07 July 2023 at approximately 10:40, the police were summoned to a certain house at Extension 11 Meqheleng near Ficksburg where they searched the house in the presence of the owner. During a further search, members found three gas cylinders, a bag containing clothes, two way radio, two 9mm firearms and 11 live rounds of ammunition, balaclavas and hand gloves. The team further found a black BMW, Chevrolet sedans with GP registrations and a white Isuzu bakkie with FS registration. All above items have been seized as exhibits suspected to have been used in the commission of suspected business burglary in the Free State during June 2023. All three vehicles are under inquiry with the SAPS Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Ficksburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 10 July 2023 facing charges of possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunitions, possession of housebreaking implements.
