The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Robinson R44 helicopter landed at two schools in celebration of Mandela Day today (Tuesday).
At approximately 10:00, 540 students, 150 senior citizens from the Belvedere & Sandfields Senior Citizens Association and Educators witnessed the landing of the chopper at Trubel Primary Primary School in Belvedere – KZN. The Tongaat SAPS and Ethekwini Fire & Emergency Services were also in attendance to celebrate and educate the audience about safety and security.
At 11:30, the chopper lifted off from Tongaat – KZN and routed to Sogidi Primary School in Bhamshela – KZN where 180 learners had the opportunity of viewing the aircraft up close.
