The Acting Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Transport and Community Safety, Hon Joshua Matlou, has expressed his delight with how the Department’s Waterberg District Office, is conducting its operations to generate revenue for Government.
Hon Matlou has also dared the Department, to replicate this practice, in other parts of the Province,
During a meeting of the Portfolio Committee, the Department through Mr Simon Kekana, the Deputy Director for Traffic Operations in Waterberg, presented wide-ranging methods, that the District uses, to compel traffic transgressors to pay outstanding fines.
Hon Matlou’s sentiments were equally echoed by Hon Katlego Phala, who also indicated that the “oversight excursion by the Portfolio Committee, to the Waterberg District has exposed the Committee to the great work of Traffic Officials, in the Province”.
