Angry residents of the Tsakane area took to the streets in protest action

At about 06:30 this morning, angry residents of the Tsakane area took to the streets in protest action .

It is alleged that the Tsakane area has been without water for a number of weeks, however they have been provided with water tankers to provide water for them.

All roads have been closed within the tsakane area namely Geluksdal Road, 12th road , Ndabezitha street , Xhosa Street, Ext 19 and Ext 15 have been cordoned off with burning tyres and rocks .

Motorist are advised to make use of alternative routes to get to the N3 , N17. Wit Road going to Dunnottar Springs , Spaarwater Road , kliprivier , R23 ,R550.

The EMPD and other law enforcement agencies are on tbe ground monitoring the situation.
