VRMED and VRSEC received reports of a house on fire on Pasteur Drive in Hospitalpark, Bloemfontein shortly after 12:50 Saturday afternoon.
On arrival, VRMED and LifeEMS found Mangaung Fire & rescue already in attendance and were able to extinguish the flames quickly.
The house residents were lucky to escape the flames and were treated on scene by VRMED for minor smoke inhalation.
