Victim Assaulted During Home Invasion: Mhlasini – KZN

A man was injured after he was assaulted with a firearm during a home invasion in Mhlasini – KZN during the early hours of this morning (Saturday).

Residents contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at approximately 01:14. Reaction Officers were dispatched to the property and on arrival met with the victim who was bleeding from injuries to his head and face. The man explained that he was asleep when two armed suspects smashed through his front door. The robbers repeatedly pistol whipped him and demanded valuables. He handed over R600 in cash and his Samsung cellphone.

The suspects thereafter proceeded to other rooms which were rented out to different people and smashed through their doors. They ransacked the rooms and stole valuables. Other tenants were not at home at the time of the incident.

The suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction.
