On Wednesday afternoon at around 16:14, our Centurion crew responded to a residential home in a complex in Clubview, Centurion.
A middle-aged man allegedly attempted to commit suicide by gassing himself with LPG gas in a restroom.
The neighbours accessed the home through a window to try and help the man but could not open the restroom door.
On arrival, we found the man lying on the floor directly behind the door, and with swift teamwork, our personnel, along with security personnel and the police, managed to extract the patient from the restroom. Immediate medical care was administered by our personnel.
The patient was transported to a nearby hospital in a stable condition by Emer-G-Med.
