The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) Members, arrested two suspects and narcotics, were seized.
Following on information received from a reliable source, about an undocumented male masquerading as a pawn shop owner, while trading in illicit substance, EMPD Officers visited the business site, situated on Commissioner street and the 38-year old caught with twelve ziplocks of crystal meth, valued at one thousand eight hundred rands, with two hundred and fifty rands in cash, was handcuffed.
The arrested foreign national suspect, also failed to produce any official document, permitting him, to be in the country legally. The Migrations Office, was made aware.
While Officers, were transporting the arrested suspect, to the nearest police station, they spotted an idling and suspicious female youth, standing at an intersection of Market and Loop. The 20-year old lady, was approached and the body search, was conducted.
Officers uncovered two clear knotted plastics, with crystal meth valued at two thousand rands, before she was placed under arrest.
Both wrongdoers, facing charges of possession and possible dealing in narcotics, were marched to the Boksburg police station and they are expected, to appear, at the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
