On Monday 11 December 2023 at 13:00, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Community Liaison Unit (CLU) Officers, arrested a 23-year-old male suspect, for possible dealing in illicit substances, in the Tsakane area.
The EMPD Officers working on information, followed on a given location and the intel, led them to Geluksdal area and the male tenant, found in his backroom, was handcuffed, after eighteen (18) see-through plastics containing 100 mandrax tablets each with an estimated street value of forty-five thousand rand (R45000) and thirteen thousand three hundred rands (R13 300) in cash, were uncovered.
The suspect facing charges of possession and possible dealing in illicit substance, was arrested and taken to the Tsakane police station. He is expected to appear, at the Tsakane Magistrate’s Court soon.
