Thief caught in the act in Gqeberha

During the early hours of the morning, our armed response officers were standing down on the corner of Woltemade and St Francis Street when they noticed suspicious movement at a retail store not far from them.

Both officers proceeded to the premises, which was not a customer of Fidelity ADT, to investigate and also notified members of the K-9 unit who just happened to be patrolling by at the same time.

Together, the team approached the shop and found a male who had broken into the premises and was packing stock into bags. The male was immediately arrested and the owner was notified.

Vigilance from the team led to an arrest and no loss to the shop owner.
