In a separate incident in Butterworth during their operation Police received information about a female that is selling drugs in a shack at Skiet Informal Settlement. They then proceeded to the shack and recovered five boss tablets, five halves and fourteen quarter boss tablets
The female suspect, aged 49 years, was arrested and charged for dealing in drugs.
The duo will appear at Butterworth and Dutywa Magistrate Courts on Wednesday, 27 December 2023.
The Amathole District Commissioner Major General Ngangema Xakavu appreciates the valuable information shared by the community that led to this recovery. “We will ensure that firearms and drugs are off the streets and our citizens are safe and secured and those who break the law are brought to justice” he concluded.
