A 39-year-old woman, identified by her family as Busisiwe Precious Mkhabela was brutally murdered after being stabbed several times on her upper body.
This horrific incident sadly occurred in Secunda yesterday, Tuesday 02 January 2024 and police are convinced that Mr Velly Vincent Mcunu can be of great assistance in the investigation of the murder case.
Information on police’s disposal indicates that the victim’s body was found with multiple stab wounds at her residence’s gate on that fateful day at about 16:30 and she was unfortunately certified dead by the paramedics who also attended the scene together with the police and other Emergency Services Personnel.
It is also indicated that the victim was reportedly known to be sharing her residence with a male partner as well as her cousin.
Her cousin, who was reportedly not home during the ordeal, allegedly arrived shortly after the incident.
According to further reports, the woman’s companion did not show up ever since the gruesome murder.
Police are of the view that Mr Mcunu, who is key to the investigation might be around Secunda or in nearby areas.
The investigators therefore request Mr Mcunu to report to the nearest police station meanwhile police urge members of the community who might know Mr Mcunu’s whereabouts to contact Detective Lieutenant Colonel Abraham Skhosana on 082 465 2352 or call Crime Stop at 08600 10111.

A team of investigators, under the leadership of the Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela are hard at work with a hope to arrest the perpetrator(s). The General has expressed her sincere condolences to the family of the victim whilst vowing that police will ensure that the suspect(s) will be hunted down and soon brought to book.
