On Saturday, 13 January 2024, members of the Anti-Gang Unit followed up on information after a premise was burgled in Gordon’s Bay. The members proceeded to an address in Abattoir Street, Strand where they searched the premises and found two revolvers and a pistol with ammunition in the house that was stolen during the burglary. A 49-year-old male was arrested for the possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition. The circumstances surrounding this incident are the subject of a police investigation.
He will appear in the Strand Magistrates’ Court once he has been charged.
