A female Mozambican Spitting Cobra was captured on a property on Inca Drive in Everest Heights – KZN this afternoon (Friday).
The homeowner contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at approximately 15:14 after he discovered a snake under wooden crates next to a store room at the rear of his property. On arrival, Reaction Officers identified the snake as a highly venomous Mozambican Spitting Cobra. Professional snake handler Jason Arnold was contacted and captured the one (1) metre snake on arrival.
He informed RUSA Members that the reptile will be relocated to an area away from homes.
