Copper theft suspect sustains injury whilst trying to evade home owner and community members in the Brookdale Area on Wednesday evening.

Members of KZNVIP Responded to the scene to assist community members but the suspect was already apprehended prior to the arrival of Response Teams. It is believed when the suspect was Fleeing from homeowners and community members he fell and sustained injury.

15 metres of copper pipe was ripped off the wall was recovered together with a knife.

SAPS Phoenix was informed of the incident.
