A 63 year old female sustained minor injuries during a home invasion on Willow Close in Trenance Park – KZN earlier today (Thursday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene at approximately 15:34 after several residents contacted the Operations Centre for assistance.
On arrival, it was established that four males entered the yard and held up the female. One suspect was armed with a firearm and a second suspect was in possession of a knife.
The robbers manhandled the female and forced her to the ground.
They thereafter entered the residence and held up three teenagers and a one year old child. The suspects stole two Samsung cellphones and fled into a dense bush when the elderly female called out for assistance.
Reaction Officers conducted a search for the suspects with negative results.
