Western Cape Provincial Flying Squad detained two suspects in possession of car-breaking implements and fraud

Police members attached to the Provincial Flying Squad followed up on information implicating suspects driving around in a VW Polo in thefts perpetrated in the Rondebosch and Claremont areas on Tuesday, 05 March 2024.

The members were busy with patrols when they spotted the vehicle in Rondebosch. They instructed the driver of the motor vehicle to stop which resulted in the search of the vehicle and the occupants.

The members confiscated car breaking implements and detained two males aged 44 and 49 on a charge of possession of car breaking implements.

The suspects are expected to make a court appearance in the Cape Town Magistrates’ court once charged.
