The Police in Vuwani have launched an extensive manhunt following the discovery of the body of a 60-year-old woman near a river in Manavhela village on Thursday night, 04 April 2024 at about 22:00.
Preliminary findings indicate that the deceased, whose identity will be released in due course, was discovered by community members who immediately contacted the police. Upon arrival, they found that the victim was naked, with no visible injuries but her mouth tightened with a cloth, raising concerns of foul play. The circumstances surrounding her death are currently under investigation.
Police have opened a case of murder.
