Police in the Western Cape detained two suspects on charges of possession of presumed stolen property and dealing in drugs.
Police members of Mfuleni led an intelligence driven operation on Friday 19 April 2024 as a result of the spate of robberies that were recently observed in the policing precinct. The members approached an identified residence and searched the premises. They confiscated 108 cell phones for which the owner could not provide any documentation. They detained a 31-year-old man on charges of possession of presumed stolen property.
Meanwhile Harare police members were busy with crime combatting operations on Saturday 20 April in Endlovini informal settlement when they received information of a premises where drugs are being sold. They operationalised the information, searched the premises and confiscated a consignment of drugs with an estimated street value of R25 000 and cash. They detained a 27-year-old man on a charge of dealing in drugs.
Once charged the suspects are expected to make their respective court appearances in the Blue Downs and Khayelitsha Magistrate courts on the mentioned charges.
