The Detectives at SAPS Dennilton are actively pursuing leads in the recent robbery at a Food Market located at Moutsiya Mall in Dennilton policing area on Tuesday evening, 23 April 2024.
According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred at about 19:00 when five suspects armed with rifles and hand guns entered the premises. The store employees and customers were subjected to intimidation and threats during the ordeal. The suspects also fired random shots, and as a result one female customer was wounded.
The intruders took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in a black BMW vehicle sedan, which was then followed by a white Ford Focus that was parked at the nearby filling station.
Police and Emergency Medical Services promptly responded to the scene and the injured victim was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
A case of business robbery was opened.
