Male suspect apprehended for house robbery in Mankweng

Mankweng police have arrested a 24-year-old male suspect, in connection with a house robbery incident that took place at Ga Motholo village in Mankweng policing area on Friday, 17 May 2024.

According to the report, the complainant 18-year-old woman was asleep, at her rented room, when she was awakened by an unknown man, who robbed her of a cellphone and a laptop, both worth R8500.00.

She then screamed for assistance, and the suspect fled the scene.

Police were notified about the incident. House robbery case was opened at Mankweng police station. Suspect was traced, and arrested on Saturday 18 May 2024 at Ga Motholo village.

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, applauded the team for reacting swiftly and arresting the suspect.

He is expected to appear before Mankweng Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 20 May 2024 facing charges of house robbery.
