The members of Provincial HighWay Patrol unit have arrested a 46-year-old male suspect for possession of housebreaking implements next to Marulaneng Clinic in Sekhukhune District, on Friday, 07 June 2024.
The team was on duty and received information about three armed African males who robbed security officer of his cellphones.
The team proceeded to the specified location and located the suspect. He was in possession of a balaclava, spanner, knife, crow bar, and gloves inside a black sports bag. The suspect was linked to the commission of an armed robbery incident at Marulaneng (Moganyaka) clinic.
He was arrested at Mmamphokgo village on the spot. He might also be linked with Motetema Armed Robbery incident.
The suspect is currently in police custody and will appear before Motetema Magistrate’s Court in due course facing charges of possession of house breaking implements.
Police investigations are still ongoing.
