Mi7 National Group’s Control Room received a message from a Bellevue community group. A vigilant resident had noticed a man walking down Ivy Road carrying multiple packets and a bin stand. The man appeared suspicious as he kept peering into various properties as he passed.
Mi7 Reaction Officers in the area were dispatched to investigate. Along with local CPF members, a search was conducted, and eventually, the man was spotted.
When he noticed he was being followed, the man dropped all the items he was carrying and fled. A picture of the disposed items was circulated and a Mi7 client on Iris Road reported the items were stolen from their property.
After a while, the suspect was found by Mi7 Reaction Officers and apprehended on Cleland Road.
The recovered items were returned to their rightful owner with assistance from community patrollers. However, the owner chose not to open a case with the police. The suspect was therefore issued a stern warning and released.
