Patient missing from hospital in Phoenix

Lucky Nhlanhla Gumbi (39) is missing from a hospital in Phoenix- Kwazulu Natal.

His family arrived at the RUSA Headquarters this morning (Thursday) seeking assistance in locating Gumbi who was dropped off at Mahatma Ghandi Memorial Hospital (MGMH) at approximately 15:30 on Wednesday 19/06/2024. He has suffered a head injury during a fall and complained of chest pains.

According to his family, they arrived at the hospital at 18:05 (Wednesday) and could not locate Gumbi. They believed he was admitted at the facility & began making enquiries. The family was later shown cctv footage of the patient walking out of the hospital at approximately 18:00. He has not been seen or heard of since.

Lucky Nhlanhla Gumbi is a resident of Waterloo- Kwazulu Natal. He was tall, slightly overweight, dark in complexion and wore a white beard. He has a single silver plated tooth. At the time of his disappearance, Gumbi was attired in a grey t-shirt, dark green jacket & blue jeans. Be was wearing a grey size 6 flip flops with white socks.
