Kleinvlei SAPS in collaboration with the Provincial Operational Command Centre task team conducted an intelligence driven crime combatting operation in the Kleinvlei policing precinct to quell the prevalence of recent gang related activities in the area.
Information led the team to a premises situated in Parana Crescent, Forest Village Eersterivier where they ensued with a search of the premises. The members discovered a firearm and 26 .22 rounds of ammunition.
As a result of the discovery, the members arrested a 34-year-old woman for the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition as she could not produce a valid licence for the possession thereof. She is scheduled to appear in the Bluedown’s Magistrates’ court once charged.
