Motorcycle thieves apprehended through joint operation in West Rand. In November 2023, the Fidelity teams were contacted by a customer who needed assistance in a case of motorcycle theft where a group of suspects operating out of Kagiso, Tsepisong, and Soweto were involved.
Through observation, intelligence gathering, and engaging with SAPS, the team identified the suspects as well as the vehicles being used in this theft of the motorcycles. A meeting was held with SAPS VCI and the team and an operation was put into place as these suspects stole up to three bikes a day.
The team did a takedown recently with two SAPS members assisting, and Carte Blanche joined as well. The suspects were arrested, and vehicles seized. They were detained at Roodepoort SAPS. On Thursday, another operation was launched by the team whereby another six criminals were arrested.
