A tow truck driver played a crucial role in the arrest of another suspect involved in vehicle spiking on the N4 highway in Pretoria.
On June 24, 2024, at approximately 22:30, the tow truck driver was returning to his stand-off point when he spotted two suspects laying out a chain with spikes on the N4 highway near Simon Vermooten.
He gave chase, simultaneously calling for assistance.
A security patrol vehicle was in the vicinity and joined the pursuit.
