The Durban Metro Police Service Drug Team has been actively working against drug activities along Queen Street (CBD). After arresting a repeat offender, further investigation revealed a larger operation involving a coordinator using local runners to distribute various drugs in the Durban CBD.
The team tracked this individual to a residence in the Umbilo area. In a decisive operation, they apprehended him while he was packaging crack cocaine and cocaine powder. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is R 42,000.
