Two businesses were petrol-bombed in Verulam

Two businesses were petrol-bombed in Verulam – KZN.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports that individuals including children were trapped in the burning shops.

On arrival, Reaction Officers discovered that the occupants of both businesses had been evacuated. Officers utilised a fire extinguisher to extinguish some of the flames.

It was alleged that the occupants of a white Nissan NP200 bakkie (registration unknown) hurled three petrol bombs into both shops before they sped off.
