ollowing the disastrous 2024 tornado that struck parts of Kosi Bay, Gift of the Givers provided disaster food packs to 65 affected families in the Mahlungulu and eNkovukeni villages. ENkovukeni is an island village only accessible by boat, as it surrounded by lakes.
There is no electricity, water or stores nearby. The team (with the assistance of volunteers) ferried food packs across to the community. There is a dire need for materials to rebuild/repair their homes as they are currently living in tents.
