The SAPS Bela-Bela Detectives appeal to members of the public for assistance in identifying a deceased African female who was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run incident that occurred on 26 May 2024 at approximately 09:00 along the R101 Bela-Bela area.
The victim, who remains unidentified, was discovered on the side of the road by community members with multiple injuries consistent with a motor vehicle accident.
The deceased is believed to be between 20 and 30 years of age. She has a tattoo on her right arm written “♕Lerato” and another one on her left arm written Rosina. Furthermore, the deceased was wearing a wedding ring, and also a blue t-shirt with blue Elesse tekkies.
Police have since opened a case of murder and they are still busy with investigations to arrest the alleged perpetrator(s).
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has information about the identity of the deceased is urged to contact the Investigating Officer Captain Dana Smith on 081 577 4383 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111. Information can also be provided anonymously via the MySAPS App.
