Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) are currently standing-off at a block yard in Redcliffe- Kwazulu Natal.
A man was pulled into a block making machine and his left hand completely amputated.
The man has suffered massive blood loss and is trapped under the heavy-duty machine.
Rescuers are attempting to free the critically injured man.
