Suspect involved in hijacking arrested!
Information was received from a security role-player of a carjacking suspect who was on the run. This suspect was involved in the vehicle theft and hijacking syndicate including the eThekwini Municipality vehicles that are being hijacked and stolen. This suspect’s location was found, leading us to the south of Durban.
Members of the Metro police drug unit, together with other role players, moved in tactically and secured the premises with no possible escape routes, and the suspect was apprehended.
He was taken to Isipingo SAPS and detained.
