A female visiting a Ward Counsellors office on Groom Street in the Verulam CBD – KZN was robbed by two females believed to be prostitutes.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene. On arrival, Reaction Officers met with the victim. She stated that she disembarked from her white Nissan Tida when two females who robbed her of her handbag containing her Hisense cellphone and R500 in cash.
The suspects thereafter fled in an unknown direction.
The victim was in the process of obtaining a confirmation of address document from the Ward Councillors office when the incident occurred.
