The Multidisciplinary Forces operating under Illegal Mining Operation “Vala Umgodi” have made another breakthrough following the arrest of three undocumented persons while illegally mining gold bearing materials on Thursday morning, 18 July 2024 in Roodepoort (Zanderevier) on the outskirts of Polokwane in Capricorn District.
Explosives and gold bearing materials confiscated.
The suspects aged between 22 and 25 were also charged with contravention of the Immigration Act and will soon appear before Polokwane Magistrate’s Court.
