An adult bull was rescued from a pit toilet in Redcliffe- Kwazulu Natal.
Officers from Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene after receiving reports from a resident that a herd of cows & bulls were grazing in the area when one climb onto a pit latrine that collapsed under the weight of the animal.
Reaction Officers on scene called for additional members & ropes to assist in saving the bull before it drowned. Responding Officers enlisted the help of the public and after 30 minutes removed the animal using ropes attached to its horns. The herdsman could not be located.
The bull was not injured.
