Whilst on routine patrol a KZNVIP Response Officer was flagged down by a member of public requesting assistance, the resident provided footage whereby two suspects entered the property and ripped off copper pipes from the walls.
The suspect was seen again in the nearby vicinity and KZNVIP Pfficers were immediately notified and apprehended the suspect.
The suspect confessed to stealing the pipes and advised KZNVIP Officers that they sold the pipes to a local scrapyard in the Cornubia Area and the contact nicknamed “Ricardo” currently pays the most for copper.
SAPS was called in and a case was registered and the suspect was arrested.
