A man was executed in his home on Station Road in Canelands – KZN during the early hours of his morning.
Residents contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre requesting assistance after they discovered the unresponsive male in his informal home. Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and on arrival met with residents who explained that they heard multiple gunshots but were afraid to immediately investigate.
They proceeded to the deceased’s home approximately one later and found the door forced open. The deceased was lying on his bed. He had been shot multiple times. Twelve spent 9mm cartridges were recovered at the scene.
The motive for the murder was not immediately established.
