Balaclava-clad robbers attack family in Buffelsdraai

Three balaclava clad suspects attacked a family in their home in Buffelsdraai – KZN during the early hours of this morning.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the property at approximately 03:51. On arrival, the victim explained that the family were asleep when three men forcefully gained entry into the house. The suspects concealed their identities with balaclavas.

They assaulted a female with a broom and demanded cash generated from a scrap yard operating from the premises. The robbers fire a shot and fled empty handed after they were advised that the family no longer operated the business.

One 9mm spent cartridge was recovered.

No injuries were reported.
