Man attacked by E-Hailing driver in Phoenix

A man was attacked by an E-Hailing driver in Phoenix – KZN after he was unable to pay for services provided.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to a service station this morning (Saturday). On arrival, Reaction Officers discovered a male lying on the ground bleeding from injuries to his face.

His friend explained that they utilised an E-Hailing service. They requested to be transported to an ATM to withdraw cash and pay for the ride. His friend proceeded to the ATM and on his return informed the driver that he had insufficient funds in his account. The driver then assaulted him before he sped off.

The injured male was transported privately to a medical facility.
