Two suspects aged 42 and 46 were arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition on Saturday 10 August 2024.
Members attached to Police Public Order (POP) and Tactical Response Team (TRT) attended to a random shooting while they were monitoring a funeral at Goso Administrative Area in Engcobo. Upon searching two males they recovered two unlicensed firearms in their possession.
They were immediately arrested and charged for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
Both suspects were detained and are due to Ngcobo Magistrate’s Court today.
