The Hawks in Eastern Cape are appealing to the public for assistance in tracing a suspect, as depicted in the photo, known as Neliswa Elizabeth Nofilita (52). The suspect is sought in connection with allegations of fraud and tax evasion case that occurred during the period between 2014 and 2015 at East London.

It is alleged that during the period between 2014 and 2015, the accused unlawfully, falsely declared with the intent to defraud South African Revenue Services (SARS) that her business was not trading nor doing any business during the said period. It is further alleged that she had not collected Value Added Tax (VAT) on behalf of her business entity during the aforesaid period nor owe SARS. Her matter was remanded to 23 October 2023 and she failed to appear before court and her bail was estreated. Therefore, the warrant of arrest was authorised. Efforts to locate her at her previous known address was unsuccessful.
