The Mothibistad SAPS B- Relief team members followed up on information and arrested a 24-year-old foreign national male for being in possession of an alleged stolen water pump.
On Saturday, 17 August 2024 at about 13:40, police found the pump with the suspect who allegedly recently bought it from another male.
During the arrest of the suspect, a male (24) neighbour interfered and obstructed the police in the execution of their duties and he was also arrested.
The Public Order Policing was summoned for assistance, and the neighbour was also charged and arrested for obstructing a police officer in the execution of his duties.
The Mothibistad SAPS Visible Policing Commander, Captain Vuyo Makolai, led the actions that led to this outstanding property related crime arrests.
Both suspects were arrested and charged with possession of suspected stolen goods and should be appearing in the Mothibistad Magistrates Court soon.
