Housebreaking suspect arrested and goods recovered in Langebaan.
On Friday, our officer Graaff was patrolling the area close to Antonio Sienie when he heard through a neighbourhood watch radio that a suspect had fled from a scene in his vehicle. Our officer received a description of the vehicle and waited for it to pass by. As soon as the vehicle passed him, he followed the vehicle.
The vehicle stopped and one of the suspects jumped out opposite Hopland and jumped over the fence while the driver of the vehicle sped off again. Our member gave chase, and the suspect lost control of the vehicle and drove over the circle island, damaging his two front tyres. Our officer jumped out of his vehicle and called for the police to assist.
He managed to keep the suspect at the scene until the police arrived and took him into custody. Stolen items were recovered. Well done to our officer for your bravery and grit!
