A female was repeatedly stabbed during a murder plot in Parkgate

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance after the bleeding 38 year old business woman fled to a residence for assistance. Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and on arrival, discovered the female being sheltered in a house. She was bleeding profusely from stab wounds to her head, neck and face.

The victim informed Reaction Officers that in June 2024, she ended her relationship with her lover after she learnt that he was married. She requested that he return a silver VW Polo GTI which she purchased and registered on his name during their courtship. The woman owns a textile and a food & beverage business.

The woman eventually engaged the services of an attorney after the male became evasive and refused to return the car. He eventually agreed to hand over the vehicle but added that his ex-lover would be required to transfer the car onto her name. He offered to assist and advised her that he would introduce her to an individual who could expedite the process.

This evening (20/08/2024) the victim transported her former partner from Westville – KZN in her blue Kia Rio. He directed her to an unnamed road in Parkgate – KZN. On arrival, the female noticed a vehicle (make, model and registration unknown) stationary on the side of the road. One person alighted from the vehicle and approached her car with documents in hand. Her ex-boyfriend confirmed that the male was the person that they were expected to meet to assist in the transfer process. The man was in possession of a yellow Notification Of Change Of Ownership (NCO) form.

She unlocked the doors and allowed the male into the rear passenger seat. He immediately began stabbing her. The victim managed to unbuckle her seat belt, exited the vehicle and fled on foot. She noticed her former lover and her attacker casually walking away from her car. The Mayville – KZN resident thereafter sought refuge with a member of the community. She believed that she was lured to the area to be murdered. Reaction Officers searched for her boyfriend, the suspect and the getaway vehicle described by the victim but no arrests/recoveries were made.
The female was stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital by ambulance.
