While conducting patrols and roadside checks on the R24 in Magaliesburg, members of the Gauteng Traffic Police and Wardens STT (Western Corridor) stopped a Mazda for a search.
During the search, officers discovered a Webley revolver with six live rounds of ammunition in a holster.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the firearm was registered to a different person, unknown to the driver.
The suspect was detained for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
