The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Community Liaison Unit (CLU) Officers apprehended an 35 year old male suspect for possession of suspected stolen goods and possession of live ammunition.
Officers received information from a reliable source, about a male who was in possession of an unlicensed firearm. Members proceeded to a residence on Orbiter Street, in Buhle park. Upon arrival, officers introduced themselves and proceeded to search the premises, while conducting a body search, they found the suspect in possession of one pistol magazine with x1 live ammunition. Boxes full of medical supplies, were also discovered. on the premises.
The confiscated boxes had silicone gel sheets and x24 units in each box, x4 boxes of Vi-Daylin drops x24 units in each box, x8 boxes of primapore with x10 units in each box and a pistol magazine with one live round ammunition were booked at the Elsburg SAPS.
The suspect facing charges of possession of suspected stolen goods and possession of live ammunition was detained at Elsburg police station, he is expected to appear at the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
